This second shoot was inspired by office environments from the 60s and 70s There are some amazing insta feeds out there to feast on. My favourites @hermanmiller for the history of office design and @ _____office for the imagery.
I am intrigued by these spaces which were once mundane and now infused with nostalgia. They have a simmering feeling of repressed sexuality and politics. Now our workspaces are upbeat and collaborative we've lost some of that tension. Our concept for the shoot draws on that mood - but subverting it - by putting model Liz Lucasse centre stage - not in the typing pool.
First up, the team from George Lewin arrive to create our set.
Liz Lucasse arrives for hair and make up. Contemporary and strong are our watch words.
Shooting gets underway. I love seeing Helene direct.
Creating a lighting effect - sun rays created by a light and DIY venetian blind.
First look at the edit. So exciting to see it coming together. I love how the prints look against the hessian backdrop and brown tones.
